How StormBook Works

Tasks and Reminders for STW Rewards

StormBook uses Tasks and Reminders to turn useful rewards into a working checklist. Instead of noticing a reward and hoping you remember it later, you can keep the run in the app, finish it, and carry the result back into Collection Book progress.

Turn useful alerts into tasks

When a mission reward still matters, StormBook lets you add it directly from the alert into your task list. That keeps the next action attached to the reward instead of forcing you to write notes somewhere else.

The task card keeps the mission context with the reward, including the map, mission type, power level, status, and related rewards. That makes the task useful even after you have left the daily alert list.

One-time and repeatable rewards

StormBook is built to handle both reward types. One-time rewards such as Perk-UP and similar materials can still be tracked as tasks, while repeatable collection-related rewards stay useful for runs that may need follow-up or later completion.

When a mission contains both one-time rewards and repeatable rewards, the completion flow can ask how you want to handle them instead of silently removing everything. This keeps repeatable rewards available when you plan to run the mission again.

Reminders that fit the daily cycle

Tasks matter because the STW daily loop resets quickly. Reminders help keep important runs visible until you actually finish them, especially when the mission alert list changes at reset and the original reason for saving the mission would otherwise disappear.

Native notifications are an Android app feature. The web app can show task state inside the browser, while the Android app can use platform notifications and reset reminders.

Built-in database and collection sync

Because the app already includes a database for weapons, traps, heroes, survivors, lead survivors, defenders, and related Collection Book items, task completion can stay tied to the actual item you were chasing. That is what lets StormBook update collection progress from the same workflow instead of treating tasks as disconnected notes.

Review before marking collected

Some rewards can represent multiple possible Collection Book entries. In those cases, StormBook can ask which exact item was collected instead of assuming one. This is especially important for survivor-style rewards where the displayed reward type may not identify a single final item by itself.

Task cleanup and daily reset behavior

The task list is meant to stay practical. Completed tasks can be cleared without changing Collection Book progress, and old daily tasks can be pruned when the mission alert day changes. The goal is to keep the list focused on current work instead of turning it into a permanent archive.
