Does StormBook require an Epic Games login?
No. StormBook is an independent tracker and does not ask for Epic Games account credentials. You mark progress yourself based on what you have collected, and the app uses that local progress to help label mission alert rewards.
Is StormBook official?
No. StormBook is an unofficial companion tool for Save the World players. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, approved by, or operated by Epic Games. The app and website are meant to help users organize their own tracking workflow.
Where is web app progress stored?
StormBook Web stores progress in your browser on the device you are using. If you clear browser data, switch browsers, or use a different device, that local progress may not be available unless you exported a backup first.
Can I move progress between web and Android?
Yes, backups are designed to work between StormBook Web and the Android app where possible. Export a backup from one version, then restore it in the other. This is useful if you start on the website and later prefer the Android app, or if you want to keep a separate safety copy.
What does missing from Collection Book mean?
Missing means the reward appears to match a Collection Book item that is not currently marked collected in your local tracker. It is a decision helper, not a game account scan. You still control what is marked collected.
What does collected mean?
Collected means the matching Collection Book item is already marked collected in StormBook. When an alert reward is already collected, you may decide to skip that mission unless you want the reward for another reason.
Why do some rewards say they are not Collection Book items?
Some mission rewards are useful but do not represent Collection Book entries. Examples can include currency, XP, perk resources, evolution materials, event resources, and other materials. Those rewards can still be tracked as tasks when they matter to you.
Why can one reward need a picker?
Some rewards represent a group of possible items instead of one exact item. Survivor rewards are a common example. In that case, StormBook may ask which specific item should be marked collected so it does not apply progress to the wrong entry.
What is the difference between V-Bucks and X-Ray Tickets?
StormBook lets users choose how to display the same currency-style alert reward. Some accounts see these rewards as V-Bucks and others as X-Ray Tickets. The setting changes the label and icon so the alert list is easier to read for your account type.
When do mission alerts reset?
StormBook organizes mission alerts around the daily reset at 00:00 UTC. The web app displays reset timing so users can tell whether they are looking at the current day and how much time remains before the alert list changes.
Why do web notifications differ from Android?
Browser notification behavior depends on browser support, operating system rules, permissions, and whether the site is active. The Android app can provide more native notification behavior, including platform-level reminder features that are not identical to the website.
Does StormBook show ads?
The Android app may show ads to non-premium users. The website is being prepared for web ads, but ad placement should remain limited and respectful so the tracker stays usable. Premium behavior and purchase details are handled through Google Play in the Android app.
