StormBook Changelog

This page summarizes visible updates to StormBook Web and the Android app so users can understand what changed and why the tracker is actively maintained.

Collection item details and perk slot groups

Collection Book grid cards now open detail views for heroes, weapons, and traps where extra item data is available. Weapon and trap perk options are grouped by perk slot so users can inspect which perks belong under each slot without reading one long list.

  • Added localized item detail sheets with perks, abilities, class perks, and base-value notes where available.
  • Grouped weapon and trap perks into expandable slot sections that match the Android app behavior.
  • Updated the web app release popup so users see this change after the new version loads.

Collection Book tier tracking

Added optional 1★-5★ tier markers for collected Collection Book items. This helps players track whether a collected schematic or item is already saved at the tier they want before spending time or research tokens on duplicates.

  • Collected items can now show a clickable 1★-5★ book tier marker.
  • Task completion review modals now include tier controls for newly collected or already collected rewards.
  • Existing collected progress stays intact; items without a saved tier show as not set until the user chooses a star.

Web app survivor status fix

Updated the web app so survivor-style mission rewards respect Collection Book progress when the reward can match a group of possible survivor entries. If all matching survivor candidates are already collected, the alert and task flow should no longer incorrectly show that reward as missing.

  • Improved candidate-based reward status checks.
  • Added a one-time web app update popup for users after this release.
  • Adjusted the scroll-to-top button placement on desktop and mobile.

May 2026

StormBook Web app expansion

Expanded the website from a marketing page into a usable browser version of the tracker. The web app includes mission alerts, Collection Book progress, tasks, dashboard views, settings, local backup and restore, and language-aware display behavior.

  • Added browser-based Mission Alerts with collection-aware labels.
  • Added Collection Book grid and in-game style views.
  • Added local tasks, completed/pending flows, and backup compatibility work.
  • Added web app settings for starter pack progress and X-Ray Ticket display mode.

May 2026

Collection Book detail improvements

Improved item cards and detail views so users can inspect more useful information while reviewing the Collection Book. Hero, weapon, and trap details were prepared for expanded descriptions, perk references, and cleaner grid behavior.

  • Improved grid card layout and collection category separators.
  • Added richer detail views where item data is available.
  • Improved search and filter behavior for large Collection Book categories.

April 2026

Mission alert mapping and reporting fixes

Improved handling for mission names, power level mapping, raw reward ids, and incorrect-item reports. This included work around special mission types, hidden rewards, and rewards that needed better display names.

  • Improved mission type mapping for special missions.
  • Added mandatory comments for incorrect item reports.
  • Improved reward name and rarity handling for lead survivors and related rewards.

Why a changelog matters

StormBook depends on daily data, item matching, translations, and user feedback. A changelog helps users see when visible behavior changes, and it gives support requests a clear reference point when someone reports a mismatch or display issue.
